Kozak: Nearly $1.46 Million in Natural Gas Impact Fees Awarded to 14th District

June 18, 2026

CHIPPEWA TOWNSHIP – State Rep. Roman Kozak (R-Beaver) announced today Beaver County will receive more than $824,000 in impact fees from the natural gas industry. In addition, the municipalities in the 14th Legislative District will receive an additional $634,000.

Impact fees are levied in addition to regular business taxes paid by every corporation in Pennsylvania. The disbursements were established in 2012 to ensure communities affected by drilling receive their fair share of funding for projects such as road and bridge repairs, housing and other infrastructure needs.

“Impact fees help make sure the places where drilling happens receive an investment back into the community,” Kozak said. “The money goes right into things people rely on, like roads, emergency crews, local projects and conservation. It’s a fair way to support growth while returning money to our region.”

A complete list of disbursements to counties and municipalities is available on the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission’s website at puc.state.pa.us.
